Hello! I’m Thea, a London family and newborn baby photographer. Cocoa Jones Photography is my family and newborn baby photography studio. I established the studio back in 2014, when I was a Mum to three young kids and living in Dulwich. I’m now one of London’s leading family photographers, offering portrait sessions in the home for families across London and the South East.
I’ve been loving every moment photographing beautiful, creative families at home as a family portrait photographer for over 12 years. I also photograph a select amount of weddings and Christenings in my signature documentary & storytelling style.
From leafy Hampstead to The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea and beyond, I look for extraordinary and poetic moments in everyday family life, creating photographs for families that are both natural and beautiful.

My family portrait photography is narrative in style, documenting the connections and stories we share with our loved ones. No two sessions are ever the same, and I approach each family shoot with fresh eyes, ready to work with you to create the images that you will love.
My approach to clientsโ portrait photography sessions is no different from the way I photograph my own family; I search out beautiful moments that are woven into our daily lives.
Every family and newborn baby photography session is a new collaboration, so thereโs no set formula; only creativity and originality. I would love to be your family historian!
A narrative
approach to being a family & baby photographer
My in-home photography sessions are very much child-led. Book in with me if you would like to have original portraits of your kids that aren’t like any other family photographer. I pride myself on doing things a bit differently, in that I run my business in a way that is intentional and hand crafted based on my years of experience, rather than looking around to see what everyone else is doing. I offer both digital and analogue photography, and I love both black and white and colour portraits.
I also create prints, mounts and photo books, with both softcover and leather bound Folio family heirloom albums. Now you can store and display your photographs around your home, and share tangible hard copies with family and friends. No more low res phone images and digital clutter! Only beautiful handcrafted prints.
Alongside being a family and baby photographer, I offer headshots photography, Christening photography and documentary wedding photography in all areas of London and the South East of England. I will capture all the details that are so special about this time. Every individual portrait session is remarkably unique and special.
All your images are edited by hand by me. My photography style has remained consistently classic and timeless.

Having three children of my own, I get it. You just want some beautiful photographs of your family, maybe some with you in them as well for a change. These days it seems as though there is so much choice when you try and do anything. Using my many years of experience as a children’s and family photographer, my aim is to make the whole process easy for you, from booking a session to the session itself and downloading and printing your beautiful images for frames and albums.
My one piece of advice for anyone planning a family portrait session? Print your photographs afterwards! Don’t let them end up on your hard drive or live on a screen. I can help you with the process of printing.Your family’s photographs can add life to your walls, shelves and maybe a low down coffee table where everyone, including the kids, can look at books easily.

I love documenting everyday, real moments for families using photography, both digital and film. I have an MA in documentary photography and photojournalism.
One of the best things about being a family photographer is getting to meet other creative people who also love photography. It’s been an amazing privilege to photograph families as they grow, often over many years!

Each portrait session is bespoke to your family’s story and also to your photography preferences. I also create a range of photo books and heirloom albums.

I offer one main family photography package that is designed to make the experience of booking a session as easy as possible for you. My prices have no hidden costs. The average family spends ยฃ650 in total. If you would like prints and albums you can order these after the session. Ask me for a brochure to find out more.
